Wenchi Crater Lake

The place

Inside Mount Wanchi’s cultivated caldera, a crater lake, highland forest and island monastery share one horizon.

Walking paths, horseback routes and small boats connect visitors with the lake and surrounding communities. The landscape feels dramatic and lived-in at once—crater walls, farms, woodland, water and sacred history together.

I kept returning to the rim, where the lake seems close enough to touch. It made me wonder how many lives and stories can fit inside a single view.
